While I didn’t exactly pack on the pounds during my recent eight month stint of un/underemployment, I definitely cut back on phone calls, so it’s easy to see how this works for 33% of long-term un/underemployed.

Every news report I hear on the dismal job market (particularly for young people) is just another reminder of how blessed we are.

What is it with Rhode Islanders—they have no idea how to put the registration stickers on their license plates. And don’t think I’m just picking on AU-105 here, because it’s a regular sight.

First crop from our community garden!  The radishes look so much better this year.  We are also growing lettuce, spinach, arugula, brussel sprouts, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, peas, carrots, beans, and raspberries!  It is so amazing growing food from seed.  I can’t describe the satisfaction of picking beautiful red radishes and knowing they started from a tiny seed inside.
